Main case 2
The 1/4" bolts fit here. Torque to 6 ft-lbs. DO NOT over-tighten these. They are not structural bolts, merely gasket clamps.
It doesn't make any sense to actually torque these now. Snug by hand is good enough until you're ready to install the whole thing in the transfer case. Final torque them when you install the 5 main bolts.
Notice the rear bearing cap is removed. I had to take it off to thread these bolts in. See the next step for explanation
